Glarien 2 Launches on Monday plus shipping update

Hello White Ashians,

I wanted to start off with a shipping update. We are a little over halfway done with fulfillment.  Almost 500 packages are out the door.  We're making good progress and are on track to have everything shipped out by the end of the month.    Just a reminder if you've already received your package, this is not the last of your White Ash rewards.  Anna Morozova is working away on the digital Glarien short for you... which we've actually bumped up to 14 pages (so more of a medium than a short). We're hoping to have that for you in late August.

But speaking of more Glarien, Chapter Two launches on Monday at 9am PST. We're going to have a bunch of fun, limited tiers (including an all-new Mystery Box one) so make sure you're notified the moment we go live by signing up HERE.

As we said previously, we'll have a small amount of the Kangas SDCC cover available at launch.  In addition to that this time around, we'll also be featuring covers from:

Shipping is Underway

Hello White Ashians,

Good news, we continue to hit our marks.  The books have arrived and physical fulfillment has begun.  As of Friday, the first 275 packages are out the door. I'm hoping to make a significant dent in the rest of the orders in the next two weeks. But it is likely that with 900 packages to ship out, I won't be finished till just after SDCC. 

Speaking of San Diego Comic Con, check out our Glarien SDCC Exclusive we'll be offering at the White Ash booth (L-10) featuring a breathtaking cover by Liana Kangas.

This con exclusive of our 12 page Glarien: Truth in the Shadows comes in two different versions: a standard cover (print run of just 125) and an even more limited Gold Foil Logo version (print run of only 75).

This exclusive also features an all-new Glarien Pin-up by Conor Hughes.

Since we know not everyone can make it to San Diego, and we didn't want to leave our loyal backers out in the cold, we'll be "buying up" some of the copies at the Con so we can offer them directly to you as part of the Glarien Kickstarter that's launching on July 11th (that's a week from Monday!!!) If you haven't had a chance to sign up for our prelaunch page, you can do so HERE. Signing up will make sure you're notified the moment we go live and give you the first crack at these and our other limited edition rewards.

We'll have a few of the SDCC Kangas exclusives available at launch and a few more after we return from the convention (this number will depend on how many we sell in San Diego).  Each book comes with a COA and will be signed by Liana, Conor and Charlie.

And if you are going to be at San Diego Comic Con this month, PLEASE stop by and say hello. Charlie, Conor, Mick Beyers and even Liana Kangas will all be spending time at L-10 in the Small Press section.

Just wanted to pop in with a quick update and let you know that the books have shipped out from the printer.  Assuming there are no hiccups in transportation, physical rewards should start going out by the end of next week.  Which is perfect timing because we're gearing up to launch the second issue of our Glarien of White Ash mini-series next month. In fact, we just activated the KS pre-launch page a few minutes ago...

Before I leave you for this week, I did want to point you to a very special campaign that's on Kickstarter right now.  Kevin Joseph has THREE DAYS left on his Tart: Submerged Hardcover Collection.  

Tart, the story of a time traveling demon hunter is one of my favorite books on Kickstarter and Kevin is one of my very favorite people I've met through the crowdfunding comic book community. But apart from that, Tart holds a very special place in my heart as it was one of the reasons that I first brought White Ash to kickstarter.  I'll be going into that in a bit more detail as Kevin has generously asked me to write the afterward in the hardcover. So if you want to hear that story, back the book.  And if you don't want to hear that story, back the book and just enjoy all the Tart wonderfulness... and skip the afterward.  Don't miss this one folks.  There's a reason this is the 12th successful Tart campaign on kickstarter, people love this story.

White Ash D.E. PDF is out

Hey White Ashians,

Good news, I just blasted out notification emails for the PDF so you can download it from backerkit. You should have it by this evening. But if you don't receive it by tomorrow morning, feel free to reach out and we'll make sure it finds its way to you.  The files are also with the printer.  They've promised a turnaround by mid-July, which is great as we're on track for an on-time delivery. 

We're thrilled by that, because it makes us very comfortable in saying look for us back on Kickstarter in July with Glarien #2. We'll be dropping more details about that soon including a cover reveal of the Glarien San Diego Comic Con Exclusive we'll be offering as part of the campaign. We'll also be offering it at SDCC at the White Ash Comics Booth. (Kinda buried the lead there).  Conor Hughes, Mick Beyer and I will all be hanging out at L-10 in the small press section... along with some special guests.  So if you are planning on attending SDCC, feel free to bring any of your White Ash issues and we'll be happy to sign them for you and chat about our favorite fantasy coal mining town.

White Ash reading order

Hi White Ashians,

You should be getting an email from backerkit today that has all the digital files EXCEPT White Ash D.E. (so the Glarien shorts and issue, the White Ash catch-up files, The Game and Ichabod Jones). As for White Ash D.E., Fin is finishing up the last few pages of color now.  We anticipate having those this week and sending out the final issue this coming weekend/ beginning of next week. At the same time, it'll be off to the printer and we anticipate an on-time, mid-July start date for distribution of physical rewards.  

Just to clarify, here's the digital reading order for White Ash and Glarien. 

(Note, not all backers will receive all these digital files. Check your pledge tier for a full breakdown of what you should receive).

I would suggest reading White Ash before Glarien.  But Glarien should stand on its own.

If you enjoy the writing in Ichabod Jones, and I'm guessing you will, I wanted to point out that Russell Nohelty has a campaign live for another 10 days for the newest novel in his Godverse Chronicles series.

Russell is one of the most prolific creators on Kickstarter. He loves to build deep, immersive universes. So give Ichabod a read and then check out The Godverse... or if you think it might take you a day or two to get around to reading Ichabod, just check out his campaign now.
