Slight snafu with the surveys and Kickstarter Add-ons.

Hey White Ashians,
Just a quick heads up, if you added on something on Kickstarter and Backerkit tells you you owe $.01, please ignore that. This is a slight glitch that's being resolved. If you're an international backer who is seeing a shipping charge for an add-on you added in Kickstarter(that's slightly more than .01), also ignore. That will be gone by tomorrow. The only shipping charges you should be seeing are for additional items you might add on post campaign.
Technology is fantastic when it works... less so when it doesn't. Sorry about that. It will be resolved.
Best,
Charlie
Surveys are OUT

Hey White Ashians,
I just hit distribute on all the Backerkit surveys. Everyone should get theirs in the next 24 hours. We'd love it if you can fill them out by May 27th. We'll be looking to distribute PDFs shortly thereafter. If you're a backer who likes variants, we have limited qualities of some our rare offerings from previous campaigns (and a few from this one) that you can add on through Backerkit. There are some real gems there, which I'm sure will go quickly. So if you are a variant aficionado, don't delay. If you just want to fill out your shipping info, that's fine too:)
While I'm on the subject of amazing variants, I don't know how many of you backed The Adept on Kickstarter. That's a series that I co-write for Immortal Studios. Well, Immortal just launched a new book set in the same universe, Fa Sheng: Origins, that has some of the prettiest covers you'll see on kickstarter including this incredible one from Gene Ha.
Written by my friend Rylend Grant and drawn by Dexter Wee, this book is about the backstory of Amy's (from the Adept) immortal master Fa Sheng and how he became the all-powerful being that he is today. Set against the backdrop of China's Boxer rebellion, this series features painstakingly researched historical fiction mixed with kinetic Kung Fu action. I'm a biased reader as I know how a lot of this ties into The Adept. I'm also a biased backer as I had to get Yishian Li's (the artist of The Adept) variant cover featuring our girl Amy.
But I suggest you look past my bias and check this one out for yourself. Immortal is building something special with all their interconnected series. And it's an exciting world to be a part of.
Also exciting to check out is the latest from James Powell, House of Fear.
House of Fear is a wonderful collection of horrific tales that are tempered just enough that you won't feel guilty sharing the book with your 12 year-old son/daughter/nephew. That said, you'll likely enjoy it so much that you might not want their newly-adolescent, grimy hands getting all over your book. In which case I advocate getting two copies. James is fantastic storyteller and this book features beautiful art that can seduce you into feeling that perhaps, just this once, things are going to work out. Then the bottom drops out. Give this one a gander... if you dare.
Thanks again, everyone. Don't hesitate to reach out if you're having any trouble filling out your surveys. Without all of you, none of this happens.
Have a wonderful rest of your week/ weekend.

WHAT AN INSANE CAMPAIGN

Hello White Ashians,
First let us say you are the absolute best. That was a jaw-droppingly fabulous outing. It had been over a year since White Ash had been on Kickstarter, and we hoped you'd all come back. I think it's safe to say, the state of the White Ash Nation is strong, very strong. And we're going to continue to do our best to pay you back for that faith and loyalty. For those of you who have been with us before, you know how we operate, but for those of you new to our town, here's schedule of things going forward.
Week One — Taking care of business. Kickstarter collects fees and backers who may have forgotten that their credit card has expired/was stolen/was maxed out buying Twitter stock, will be given a chance to update it. PLEASE CHECK and see if you're one of the 62 backers that have a notification from KS.
(NOTE: If you're having financial difficulties, we understand. Kickstarter only gives a one-week window to resolve your card issues. If you need more time, message us. You’ll be able to resolve your card issues post-campaign in Backerkit.)
Week Three - Tell Us What We Need To Know (around the May 13th) — As soon as Kickstarter has transferred the funds to our account, we’ll send out our BackerKit Surveys. Please fill these out as quickly as possible. We’re hoping to start shipping out the catch-up materials by the end of next month. ALSO for those of you who have been burned by Backerkit before, do not fret, we WILL NOT be charging shipping post-campaign. We only use backerkit to organize shipping and give backers the opportunity to add on extra copies, etc if they desire.
Week Five - Here Come The Goods (around May 30th) — Once we have all the surveys back and we have your emails and addresses in hand, we'll send out all the catch-up PDF's... and fingers crossed, the new PDF as well.
After that... we'll keep you updated on our progress. Right now we anticipate an on-time delivery of the print copies of White Ash D.E. #1 (in July). Hopefully that won't change, but with the world being as volatile as it is right now and the paper shortages being as the are, it's hard to be 100% sure about anything. Regardless, we always keep you in the loop.
If you have any questions, always feel free to reach out to me here on Kickstarter or find me on the following social networks:
Charlie Stickney on Twitter
White Ash on Facebook.
But as we close out this amazing campaign, I did want to note two great projects that just launched on Kickstarter. The first is from Andrew Clemson who has a gift for bringing a roguish charm and humor to all of his projects. And that's clearly evident in his latest Damsel from D.I.S.T.R.E.S.S
This book is the perfect companion for the White Ash fanbase. It's got Elves, Dwarves, secret agents and fabulous art. I'm fortunate to have had the privilege to have read the first four issues of this series and I loved every minute of them. But don't take my word for it, hop on over to Andrew's page and CHECK IT OUT.
Also new to kickstarter is the latest from the hysterical David Schrader -- Cannibals on Mars
David is a powerhouse both as a comic creator and a filmmaker. In Cannibals on Mars he's merged the two, creating a wonderful piece of sci fi, grindhouse entertainment. Five years after communication was cut off from Earth a new colony is realizing what they once thought was sustainable... might need a little something something to sustain itself a bit more. And if you haven't guessed, that's where the cannibals come in. David has a track record of walking that fine line between offensive and hysterical. Though there's a lot less gravity on Mars (which makes walking difficult), I'm sure he'll manage to do it again. I love his books and I was really excited to see this one drop on Kickstarter.
Thanks again, everyone. We'll be in touch really soon.

One White Ash Rare Variant Set now available

Hey White Ashians,
As we count down the final hours of this campaign, I just wanted to let you know that one of the White Ash Rare Variant Sets has become available again. If that was something you were interested in, but were too late, here's your second chance to grab one.
Also a quick heads up, two friends of mine launched campaigns today. The first comes from the insanely talented Ron Randall and his epic TREKKER series.
Trekker is one of the best produced, drawn and written comics that you will find on the platform. Ron's been telling the story of his bounty hunter Mercy St. Clair for over 30 years. And each volume is better than the last. Supposedly he's launching tomorrow. But he's doing what he calls a secret, soft launch today. Judging by how well the book is doing, I'd say the secret is out. BUT if you do go back it today, leave him a Shhhhhhhh in the comments section so he knows that you're keeping the secret until tomorrow. You can leave him a shhhh and back the book HERE.
Also launching today is a really fun book from Kevin Doyle, NINJA SCOUTS.
Kevin is one of the most colorful and easiest to find people at a comic convention, as he really goes all out repping his Ninja Scouts Brand.
He puts that same love and attention into his comics. So if you (or a youngster you know) would enjoy the tale of a band of ninja... scouts, check this one out.
Thanks again for taking this incredible journey with us. The whole team has been blown away by the love and support and we can't wait to share the next chapter of White Ash with you.
Best Charlie, Conor, Fin and Mick
